The man with the velvet voice.
A few months ago I was asked to photograph one of the BBC's most popular Radio presenters, Ken Bruce. He has more than 8 million listeners, and I was due to photograph him in the middle of his live show, this meant two things - I had to be on my best behaviour, and I wouldn't have very long to get set up and snap away.
The photograph was due to go out in that weekend's Sunday Post based in Glasgow (Bruce's hometown) and they needed images which focussed on Ken in the radio studio, hence photographing him on air.
They opted to run with this image:
Now, a few months on, and stuck on a train, I've spent half an hour or so looking through the shots from that day and picked out a few of my favourites to share.
Despite the time constraints, Ken and I were able to have a pretty decent natter whilst songs were playing, he's a thoroughly decent guy and couldn't have been more obliging. I'm sure we'd still have been chatting at the end of the show had his producer not reminded me I needed to leave!
